Rooms & Details

Marilyn’s Suite

A full private suite on the ground floor with its own internal courtyard, kitchen, bathroom and boudoir. Morning light filters in gently, and the high ceilings—typical of 1800s Sicilian homes—add to its sense of quiet openness. This room offers extra privacy and space, making it ideal for longer stays or those seeking a more independent rhythm while still being part of the Cummari community. This room features original art by Chiara Leto , Helena Medrano and Manon Hermans.

Named afterof my first cummari—my “god” mother, Marilyn McHugh —this space honors the deep wisdom, warmth, and friendship at the heart of everything she offers me.

*All of our rooms have air conditioning (AC), heat, access to strong wifi and a private desk. See full amenities.

Coco’s Room

A calm, light-filled space with a private terrace overlooking the port and sea. Located one level above a one-way village street, it offers a peaceful retreat with a gentle connection to daily life outside (we are in a neighborhood with a mix of daily life around but no nightlife). Coco’s Room shares two bathrooms and a kitchen with the neighboring Miss Sisti’s Room, making it ideal for solo travelers or friends looking for a relaxed, shared experience.

Named after artist, “Coco” Colette Hannahan—my “maid of honor,” my fem life partner and muse. Cheers to beautiful friendships we find later in life—the kind where you feel safe sharing every part of yourself!

Miss Sisti’s Room

A bright, cozy space that welcomes the morning sun. Located on the first floor (one level above ground), this room features French doors that open onto a north-facing terrace. Miss Sisti’s Room shares two bathrooms and a kitchen with neighboring Coco’s Room, making it ideal for solo travelers or friends looking for a relaxed, shared experience. This room features original art of Sicilian Goddesses Demeter & Kore by artist Lilli Marlit.

Named after my Cummari, “Miss Sisti” — my companion and comfort throughout an entire school year when I was six—the only girl in her classroom and just beginning to navigate my dyslexia. She is the epitome of kindness and grace.
