Beyond the Good Woman - For women who are already beginning to see clearly…
Co-Hosted by Kristina Kyser PHD, Somatic-Spiritual Educator & Michelle Titus, Feminine Anthropologist & Founder of Cummari
This is a space for women who are ready to live from the inside out.
An invitation to move beyond the patterns that once kept you safe — and into a deeper, embodied wholeness. One where you trust what you know, honor what you feel, and no longer have to choose between belonging and being yourself.
Join us for five night and four days of workshops led by Kristina Kyser, PhD, and culturally immersive experiences in Sicily hosted by Michelle of Cummari.
Space is limited: This is a thoughtfully designed 5 night retreat at Cummari Sicily for a small group of 8 women.
This is for you if…
You have already begun to see these patterns in your life and are looking for a space to deepen, not begin, this work
You’re tired of over-functioning, translating, or managing other people’s realities
You are moving through (peri) menopause or another life threshold and noticing that what you could once tolerate is no longer sustainable
You are beginning to see how internalized roles—around being “good,” agreeable, productive, or responsible for others—have shaped your identity and you feel something in you refusing to continue in those roles, even if you don’t yet know what comes next
You want to live from your own perception and truth, and are ready to explore what that requires of you
For many women, this process is not only personal but ancestral.
As patterns of compliance begin to loosen, something else often becomes visible—the ways these patterns have been shaped across generations, and reinforced through culture, relationships, and systems.
Retreat Program Details
This space supports you in meeting yourself more honestly, while staying resourced and connected.
We move at a pace that allows depth without overwhelm and leave time for reflection as well as exploration of Volcano Etna, the Ionian Sea and the surrounding fertile and culturally rich area of Sicily.
Over these days through workshops with Kristina, you will:
Identify the patterns of compliance that have shaped how you relate, respond, and make yourself acceptable
Reconnect with your own perception, sensations, and knowing where they have been overridden
Be supported in meeting grief and anger without suppressing or needing to act them out
Experience what it is to remain with yourself without immediately adjusting, explaining, or translating
Begin to orient toward a way of being that is rooted in wholeness rather than adaptation

About Kristina Kyser, PhD, Somatic-spiritual educator, bridge between worlds
Kristina Kyser is a teacher, guide, and survivor — a white settler woman walking a spiritual path rooted in humility, truth, and liberation.
She spent over a decade as a psychotherapist working with survivors of complex trauma, and brings together training in therapeutic models, Buddhist practice, and Earth-honouring spiritual traditions. She holds a PhD in English Literature.
Kristina weaves psychology, mysticism, and lived experience to help women reclaim and reintegrate the wholeness and creative power at their core.
This isn't a brand. It's a vow. A reclamation of presence. A remembering of what we were never meant to forget.
Michelle Titus, Feminine anthropologist, community builder, keeper of place
Michelle Titus has made her life in Sicily since 2019, not as an observer, but as a participant. Her work is rooted in matriarchal studies, with a particular focus on Sicilian culture, its indigenous peoples, and the living practice of matriarchy and community in the modern world.
She is the founder of Cummari, a women's space in Sicily where she hosts retreats, international gatherings, and the kind of everyday life that reminds women what it feels like to be held by place and by each other. She also co-founded Zingarelle di Sicilia, a women's community spanning the island, and co-hosts a biannual international festival bringing together local entrepreneurs and creatives.
Her background is in international reporting and publishing — she has lived and worked in over 15 countries since 2006.
At Cummari, her work is simple and total: to support the women who choose to call it home, however briefly, and to offer Sicily not as a backdrop but as a teacher.
