Cummari on the Etna Bio Farm

You asked...we delivered.
Many women who have visited Cummari in Catania have wanted to get to know Sicily beyond the bit city, my favourite Sicily. That is why I am bringing Cummari to a female owned bio farm this fall. We will gather together for two weeks on the farm from November 11th to November 25th, 2023.
Your opportunity to slow down to the rural Sicilian pace and enjoy local experiences in good company. Included in your stay is an in house chef that will be cooking nutritious vegetarian lunch and dinner for you. There will be morning, evening and weekend activities (see here) - as your schedule allows or your heart desires. If you ever wanted to see how olive oil is made or taste Etna wines with a female wine maker - this will be your chance!
As per the Cummari norm, our community of women thrives when we are diverse in our interests and backgrounds and so all are welcome!

What's included?

The entire farm (see photos) will be dedicated to Cummari for two weeks.

Your own private room + shared bathroom (shared with 1 to 2 other women maximum).

Two large dedicated Coworking Spaces and another farmhouse will be dedicated to non-computer living/working.

Fresh ingredients for breakfast, seasonal fruit, coffee, tea as you need stocked in all 3 kitchens.

Lunch (vegetarian)

Prepared by in house Sicilian cook (this will be something you can always help yourself to when your lunch break allows).

Dinner (vegetarian) + local wine

Prepared by an in house Sicilian cook (this will be a sit down meal together around 7:30pm every evening).

Welcome
The space: The farm consists of three traditional Sicilian farmhouses, each with a living room and kitchen. We will dedicate the larger of the houses with 6 bedrooms as the main coworking laptop space. A second house will be dedicated to a US hour workspace and has 2 bedrooms. The third house will be a wifi free house ideal for writers and artists and has 2 bedrooms. The farm will be yours to explore if you want to have a picnic or read a book under the orange trees. Location: The farm is located on the eastern facing slope of Volcano Etna. 10 minutes by car from Fiumefreddo di Sicilia train station, 15 minutes from Taormina, 30 minutes from Catania, one hour from Messina and 3 hours from Palermo.

14 nights - Saturday, November 11th to Saturday, November 25th 2023
Standard rate: 150/night including all meals + wine, your private room, coworking space and transfer to/from the farm to the local train station.
Early booking discounted rate for booking before July 1st, 2023 = 1,890 euro
(or 135 euro/night all inclusive + local transfer)
Cummari prior guest discounted rate for booking before July 1st, 2023 = 1,750 euro
(or 125 euro/night all inclusive + local transfer). Each Cummari woman can gift this rate to one friend.
Standard total rate for 14 nights = 2,100 euro or 150/night all-inclusive + local transfer)
Reserving your space: We kindly ask for a 300 euro deposit to secure your space. The 300 euro will be deducted from the total. Private bedrooms will be chosen on a first come first serve basis.
